LITTLE ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Greetings, I am Prophet Ebenezer Ojo Adu JP, a man with a mission and a burning desire to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Born on May 17, 1972, in the heart of Ijare, Ondo State, Nigeria, my journey is one that is deeply rooted in a divine calling.
Five years ago, I was led by the unwavering guidance of God to provide sustenance and care to the underprivileged and widows. I committed to doing this every month for the rest of my days. At the outset, this vision perplexed me, as there were no sponsors in sight. But driven by an unwavering commitment, I knew I had to begin somewhere. With a meager sum in hand, I started with just ten individuals. Over time, the numbers have grown, and now we reach out to hundreds.
My passion for those less fortunate is deeply personal. I, along with my mother, endured severe hardships due to financial constraints. I vividly remember a day when my mother owed a woman a mere two hundred naira. Instead of extending compassion, the woman callously demanded we beg our mother not to burden her like a debtor. This heart-wrenching incident ignited a fervent prayer within me, pleading with God to grant me the means to care for the needy.
After completing my secondary education, I set out for Lagos in pursuit of a white-collar job. I secured a position as a security guard at the Nigerian Postal Service. The struggle for survival was relentless, often requiring me to trek ten miles to work. Life was an uphill battle, and I was the sole provider for my family.
I humbly reach out to you today, using this platform to seek assistance from compassionate individuals around the world. I implore you to view our mission as a shared assignment. Our organization, “Ebenezer Cares Outreach for Widows and the Poor,” is not confined by religious boundaries; it is a humanitarian ministry.
Our commitment to this cause has been recognized and approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria, backed by a certificate of incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission. Together, we can make a profound impact and bring hope to those who need it most.
